by The second pillar of Islam is prayer. In the Qur’an, prayer is mentioned after faith. Prayer brings a person closer to God than any other action. By praying, Muslims enjoy the blessings of God’s remembrance, nearness, presence and conversation. The root of faith is strengthened by the remembrance of Allah and if the tree is not given moisture and water, it begins to wither.
Prosperity ends like this. This is how the heart of those who ignore faith dies. A good and just person is one whose faith is new. Faith can be new even to those who remember God in their hearts. Prayer is very important and the only difference between a believer and an unbeliever is prayer. In other words, those who pray are Muslims and those who do not pray are infidels. Is it necessary to close the eyes while praying? What do Islamic lawyers think about praying with eyes closed?
The meaning of Hadith Qudsi is that pray as you have seen me pray. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) says in his prophecy that he has been practising holy worship for a long time. When Ghazar Hara was announced as Prophethood, the first order was to pray. His prayer was exemplary and complete. His prayer after death was also full of God’s grace. Through intense concentration in prayer, one was able to get closer to Allah Almighty without knowing everything about the universe. When all five prayers became obligatory, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) performed this duty till the end, and his prayer was of such humility and modesty that no example can be found anywhere else.
Hazrat Auf said: I was with him one night. Washed his face and stood up for prayer. I also participated in the prayer. He recited the entire Surah Al-Baqarah in one Rak’at. Wherever he went to pray for mercy, he would stop and pray for mercy. At the end of the surah, he bowed his head throughout the entire recitation of the surah. and bowed. In the same period, Surah Aal Imran was recited in the second rakat. He also recites a surah in each rak’ah. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) prayed in the same way. Have you ever wondered how we pray?
It is makruh to pray with eyes closed. This is the practice of the Jews and the author of Takhtul Mulk also praises it. And people say: It is abominable because it is against the Sunnah. Because Sajdah is a religious act in the province. And just as every part of the body is a part of worship, so the eyes are also a part of worship. Imam (a.s.) in his Fatwa allows closing the eyes if necessary. If your request is more than that, you can close your eyes.
If it is more important to pray with your eyes open, then pray with your eyes open, but if a picture or vision obstructs your prayer, then surely it is not permissible to pray with your eyes closed. According to the jurists, it is possible to pray with the eyes closed, but it is preferable to pray with the eyes open because it is necessary to look at the place of prostration. We pray to God to make us understand the truth of religion. Pray humbly. The way you (peace be upon him) lived. Amen
رسول پاکؐ نے فرما یا: سجدے میں آنکھیں بند کرنا؟
اسلام کا دوسرا ستون نماز ہے۔ قرآن میں ایمان کے بعد نماز کا ذکر ہے۔ نماز بندے کو کسی بھی عمل سے زیادہ رب کے قریب کر دیتی ہے۔ نماز پڑھنے سے مسلمان خدا کی یاد، قربت، موجودگی اور گفتگو جیسی نعمتوں سے لطف اندوز ہوتے ہیں۔ ایمان کی جڑ اللہ کے ذکر سے مضبوط ہوتی ہے اور اگر درخت کو نمی اور پانی نہ دیا جائے تو وہ مرجھانے لگتا ہے۔
خوشحالی اس طرح ختم ہوتی ہے۔ ایمان کو نظر انداز کرنے والوں کا دل اس طرح مر جاتا ہے۔ نیک اور عادل انسان وہی ہے جس کا ایمان نیا ہو۔ یہاں تک کہ جو لوگ اپنے دلوں میں خدا کو یاد کرتے ہیں ان کے لیے بھی ایمان کچھ نیا ہو سکتا ہے۔ نماز بہت ضروری ہے اور مومن اور کافر میں فرق صرف نماز ہے۔ دوسرے لفظوں میں نماز پڑھنے والے مسلمان ہیں اور جو نماز نہیں پڑھتے وہ کافر ہیں۔ کیا نماز پڑھتے وقت آنکھیں بند کرنا ضروری ہے؟ آنکھیں بند کرکے نماز پڑھنے کے بارے میں اسلامی وکلاء کیا سوچتے ہیں؟
حدیث قدسی کا مفہوم ہے کہ اس طرح نماز پڑھو جس طرح تم نے مجھے پڑھتے دیکھا ہے۔ حضور نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم اپنے پیشن گوئی میں فرماتے ہیں کہ وہ ایک طویل عرصے سے مقدس عبادت پر عمل پیرا ہیں۔ جب غذر حرا کا اعلان نبوت ہوا تو سب سے پہلا حکم نماز پڑھنے کا تھا۔ اس کی دعا مثالی اور مکمل تھی۔ موت کے بعد ان کی دعا بھی خدا کے فضل سے بھری ہوئی تھی۔ دعا میں شدید ارتکاز کے ذریعے، کوئی شخص کائنات کے بارے میں سب کچھ جانے بغیر اللہ تعالیٰ کے قریب جانے کے قابل تھا۔ جب پانچوں نمازیں فرض ہوئیں تو آنحضرت صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس فرض کو آخر تک ادا فرمایا اور آپ کی نماز ایسی عاجزی اور تواضع تھی جس کی مثال کہیں اور نہیں ملتی۔
حضرت عوف رضی اللہ عنہ نے فرمایا کہ میں ایک رات ان کے ساتھ تھا۔ منہ دھویا اور نماز کے لیے کھڑا ہوگیا۔ میں نے بھی نماز میں شرکت کی۔ اس نے ایک رکعت میں پوری سورۃ البقرہ پڑھی۔ وہ جہاں بھی رحمت کی دعا کے لیے جاتا وہاں رک کر رحم کی دعا کرتا۔ سورۃ کے آخر میں آپ نے سورۃ کی پوری تلاوت میں اپنا سر جھکا لیا۔ اور جھک گیا. اسی مدت میں دوسری رکعت میں سورۃ آل عمران پڑھی۔ وہ ہر رکعت میں ایک سورہ بھی پڑھتا ہے۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اسی طرح نماز پڑھی۔ کیا آپ نے کبھی سوچا ہے کہ ہم نماز کیسے ادا کرتے ہیں؟
آنکھیں بند کرکے نماز پڑھنا مکروہ ہے۔ یہ یہودیوں کا رواج ہے اور تخت الملک کے مصنف نے بھی اس کی تعریف کی ہے۔ اور لوگ کہتے ہیں: یہ مکروہ ہے کیونکہ یہ سنت کے خلاف ہے۔ کیونکہ سجدہ صوبہ میں نماز گاہ میں جانا ایک مذہبی عمل ہے۔ اور جس طرح جسم کا ہر عضو عبادت کا حصہ ہے اسی طرح آنکھیں بھی عبادت کا حصہ ہیں۔ امام (ع) اپنے فتویٰ میں ضرورت پڑنے پر آنکھیں بند کرنے کی اجازت دیتے ہیں۔ اگر آپ کی عرضی اس سے زیادہ ہے تو آپ آنکھیں بند کر سکتے ہیں۔
اگر آنکھیں کھلی رکھ کر نماز پڑھنا زیادہ ضروری ہے تو آنکھیں کھلی رکھ کر پڑھیں، لیکن اگر تصویر یا بصارت آپ کی نماز میں رکاوٹ بنتی ہے تو یقیناً آنکھیں بند کرکے نماز پڑھنا جائز نہیں ہے۔ فقہاء کے نزدیک آنکھیں بند کرکے نماز پڑھی جاسکتی ہے لیکن آنکھ کھلی رکھ کر نماز پڑھنا افضل ہے کیونکہ سجدہ کی جگہ کو دیکھنا ضروری ہے۔ ہم خدا سے دعا کرتے ہیں کہ وہ ہمیں دین کی حقیقت کو سمجھے۔ عاجزی سے دعا کریں۔ جس طرح آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے زندگی گزاری۔ آمین
