by The Punjab Education Endowment Fund (PEEF) has announced the Chief Minister Merit Scholarship (CMMS) for 2024. This scholarship fully funds PhD studies at one of the world’s top 50 QS-ranked institutions in specific subject areas.
The application deadline for the PEEF CMMS scholarship is April 26, 2024.
While students from Punjab will be given preference, there’s also a special quota for students from other provinces, including AJK, Gilgit Baltistan (GB), FATA, and Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT). Pakistanis who have applied to one of the world’s top 50 QS-ranked universities are eligible to apply for the Chief Minister Merit Scholarship for the year 2023.

Eligibility Criteria for PEEF CMMS Merit Scholarship
Students applying for the CMMS must meet the following criteria:
- They must have a valid PhD admission offer from one of the world’s Top 50 QS Ranked (subject-wise) Universities in their desired fields of study.
- Throughout their academic career, they must maintain a minimum of 60%.
- They should declare a monthly family income (including self, spouse, and parents) of Rs. 200,000/- or less on April 26, 2024.
- Candidates should not have previously received a foreign scholarship.

- You can apply for a scholarship by filling out the form at https://www.peef.org.pk/cmms.html.
- Make sure to send the completed form to PEEF before the deadline.
Important Note and Instruction about the PEEF CMMS Scholarship
- Scholarship cannot be deferred to the next year if selected.
- Permanent/regular faculty members of Pakistan’s public sector educational institutions cannot apply for CMMS.
- Applicants must secure admission to the university and apply for a visa.
- The decision of the Scholarship Selection Committee is final.
- PEEF reserves the right to reject applications or cancel the selection process.
- The deadline for applications to the PEEF Office is April 26, 2024.
