This card works as a student ID that can be used everywhere, giving access to lots of services and discounts worldwide. By using the NOL card for purchases, students can get amazing deals and save up to 70% at many stores across Dubai, including canteens in their schools and universities.
Moreover, students in the UAE can avail themselves of a 50% discount on public transportation. Salah Almarzooqi, Director of the Automated Collection Systems Department at the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), disclosed that the card is set to be launched in September 2024, coinciding with the commencement of a new school year.
During the Mena Transport Congress and Exhibition, the RTA and the ISIC Association confirmed their collaboration to introduce the new card. This globally recognized ISIC card enhances student experiences by confirming their identity and offering numerous discounts worldwide.
According to Mohammed Al Mudharreb, CEO of RTA’s Corporate Technology Support Services Sector, the partnership aims to make students’ travel easier through Dubai’s extensive public transportation network, which includes buses, trams, metro, and marine transportation.
Moreover, the new Nol card enables payments at retail stores and educational institutions. Parents can also track balance additions and set daily spending caps for their children’s accounts using the new Nol card, promoting responsible spending habits.
How to Apply for an NOL Card
Students can easily apply for the card through the Nol Pay app and have it delivered to their homes. Existing student Nol cardholders will find it easy to upgrade to the new version once it’s available.
