Rashmika Mandanna Reveals Her Film Selection Process
During the interview, the actress revealed her main criteria for choosing films: a strong instinct that tells her she needs to tell a specific story. She stressed that this intuition played a big part in her decision to take on her upcoming projects, “Rainbow” and “The Girlfriend,” both of which will focus on stories centered around women. Reflecting on her choices, she said:
“So, when it comes to selecting these projects, it’s like – You just have this gut feeling that you have to share this story. That’s the first thing. And secondly, it’s about the message you want to convey to your audience because there’s always a message within.”
Expanding on her viewpoint, the actress clarified that while not every movie needs to carry a message, there’s a wide range of genres in cinema. However, she explained that for her personal choices, she aimed to convey a message engagingly and entertainingly with one film, while the other intrigued her solely because of its concept.
She said, “Every film doesn’t need to have a specific message, as there are countless genres in the film industry. But for me, I decided to use one film as a platform to convey a message entertainingly, while the other film intrigued me purely because of its concept.”
Rashmika Mandanna Manifests Romantic Films
During the interview, the actress from Pushpa revealed that the different stages of life and the desires one feels at a certain time can greatly impact film choices. Sharing her current longing, she admitted to craving romantic films, realizing she had been involved in action-packed dramas for some time. She said, “Right now, I’m longing to do romantic films because I just realized that I’ve been doing a lot of action dramas. I want to do romantic films, so I’m hoping for romantic scripts.”
