Redmi K60 series launched with Snapdragon chipsets

In China, anyone can now buy a phone from the Redmi K60 series. The Redmi K50’s new phones are the Redmi K60, Redmi K60 Pro, and Redmi K60E. The Redmi K60 series has two new features: a curved OLED screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate and wireless charging.

The phones have a rectangular module with three camera sensors and a telephoto lens, as well as a circular cutout in the middle for the selfie camera (on the K60 and K60 Pro). Both the Redmi K60 and the Redmi K60 Pro have carbon fiber on the edges.

Both the Redmi K60 and Redmi K60 Pro have a 16-megapixel front-facing camera, a 120-hertz AMOLED display, a 67-watt fast charger, Android 13 OS, and an AMOLED panel. In the Redmi K60 series, there is a P1 charging chip that helps Xiaomi.

Prices for the Redmi K60 Pro start at RMB 3,299 (about Rs. 39,300) for the 8GB + 128GB model, RMB 3,599 (about Rs. 42,900) for the 8GB + 256GB model, RMB 3,899 (about Rs. 46,500) for the 12GB + 256GB model, RMB 4,299 (about Rs. 51,200) for the 12GB + 512GB model, and RMB 4,599 (about Rs (roughly Rs 54,800).

The base 8GB + 128GB Redmi K60 costs RMB 2,499 (about Rs 29,800), the 8GB + 256GB model costs RMB 26,99 (about Rs 32,200), the 12GB + 256GB model costs RMB 2,999 (about Rs 35,700), the 12GB + 512GB model costs RMB 3299 (about Rs 39,300), and the 16GB + 512GB version costs RMB 3,599. (roughly Rs 42,900).

The Redmi K60E costs RMB 2,199 (about Rs 26,200) for the 8GB + 128GB version, RMB 2,399 (about Rs 28,600) for the 8GB + 256GB version, RMB 2,599 (about Rs 31,000) for the 12GB + 256GB version, and RMB 2,799 for the 12GB + 512GB version.

Both the Redmi K60 and Redmi K60 Pro have a 6.67-inch QHD+ AMOLED screen with a 3200 x 1440 pixel resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, 480 Hz touch sampling rate, up to 1400 nits peak brightness, 12bit P3-color gamut, Dolby Vision, 1920 Hz PWM dimming, punch-hole cutout, HDR10+, and JNCD protection layer.

The base model Redmi K60 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 SoC and Adreno GPU. On the other hand, the Redmi K60 Pro will have a Snapdragon 8 Gen2 processor, up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage as standard. The Android 13.1-based MIUI 14 skin takes care of the software.

The 5,500 mAh battery in the Redmi K60 can be charged wirelessly at 30 watts or quickly at 67 watts. On the other hand, the Pro model has a bigger battery that can be charged wirelessly and quickly (up to 120W) (30W). There are two speakers, NFC, and an infrared sensor.

For extra security, there is also a fingerprint sensor built into the screen. There might be 5G, 4G, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a USB Type-C port, among other ways to connect to the internet and charge the phone wirelessly.

The Redmi K60’s main camera has 64 megapixels, a 6P lens, optical image stabilization, and an aperture of f/1.79. The second camera has 8 megapixels, and the third is a macro sensor with 2 megapixels. The 16-megapixel front-facing camera can be used to take photos and record video calls.

The Redmi K60 Pro’s main camera is a 50MP/54MP Sony IMX800 with a 6P lens, an f/1.88 aperture, optical image stabilization, and an LED flash. There is also a 2MP macro shooter and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens with a field of view of 118 degrees. The front-facing camera has a resolution of 16 megapixels, which is great for people who like to take selfies or make video calls.
