Oppo Find N2 May Launch This Week.

The original Oppo Find N is one of the best foldable devices we’ve ever seen, so we were sad that the company only released it in China. Now, the company is getting ready for its replacement, which we think could be shown this week. Will it finally be available all over the world? What’s the good news?

This is all we know about the Oppo Find N2 for the time being.

When will the Oppo Find N2 go on sale?

We don’t know when the Oppo Find N2 will be released officially, but we’re pretty sure it will be shown off at Oppo’s annual Inno Day event, which starts on December 14, 2022.

There will be a virtual event that will be shown on the Oppo website. It will start at 9:00 a.m. in Spain. If you are in Latin America and want to read us, you will have to get up early because it will be 2:00 in Mexico, 3:00 in Colombia, and 5:00 in Argentina and Chile.

But the phone might not come on that exact day. The first Find N was shown at Inno Day last year, but it wasn’t until the second day of the event. If the same thing happens this year, the Find N2 and the rumored Find N2 Flip with a clamshell design will come out on December 15. This is exactly what at least one leaker has said will happen.

We don’t know for sure if it will be sold outside of China, but there is hope. When Oppo released its mid-range Reno 8 series in Europe, Billy Zhang, the company’s president of overseas sales and services, told Tech Advisor that the company’s next foldable phone would “probably” also come out in Europe.

Oppo Find N2 price?

The price is still unknown, just like the release date. We can get an idea by looking at what was done before. The price of the Oppo Find N was 7,699 yuan, which is about €1,045.

Taking into account the different taxes that are usually put on imported devices, the price would be about the same as for other foldable devices like:

In the past few months, prices in the technology industry have gone up. This is mostly because of changes in exchange rates and high inflation in a number of countries.

You also have to think about how the Russian invasion of Ukraine has affected the lack of processors and the price of energy. Considering all of this, the Oppo Find N2 might cost more than the model it replaces.

What will be good about the Oppo Find N2?

For now, Oppo hasn’t said much about its upcoming foldable phone, but that hasn’t stopped leaders from telling us about the Find N2.

The leaker Digital Chat Station is usually reliable, and they wrote on Weibo that the foldable smartphone will have a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, even though its successor, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, has already been announced.

In the article, it is also confirmed that it will have an internal 7.1-inch E6 AMOLED screen with 120 Hz, making it the same as the Oppo Find N. Also, it has made sure that the screen on the outside will be smaller, at 5.54 inches (also E6 AMOLED 120 Hz).

Digital Chat Station confirms that the fingerprint sensor will go back to the side button and that the new device will have a 4,520 mAh battery. Oppo could also be trying out a faux leather lining for the back panel, but the post also talks about glass.

The Find N2 is a bit lighter than its predecessor, which weighed 275g.

These specs match what we’ve seen on screenshots of the Find N2 that may have been leaked. In them, it is said that it will have a 120 Hz screen, a battery of about 4,500 mAh, 12 GB of RAM, 256 GB of storage, and a chipset that matches the performance of the 8+ Gen 1.

It also looks like it will have MariSafe technology and the MariSilicon X NPU, an imaging chip made by Oppo that will help AI features in cameras work.

Digital Chat Station has also made some predictions about cameras. The tipster says that the Find N2 will have the same cameras as the upcoming OnePlus 11: a 50 MP Sony IMX890 main camera with OIS, a 48 MP IMX581 ultra-wide angle, and a 32 MP IMX709 x2 zoom camera.

It will also have two 32-megapixel front-facing cameras, one on each screen. GSMArena says that the new device will run ColorOS 13 on top of Android 13, and it will come in black, white, and green (although it has not been confirmed if it will be leather or glass).

If the rumors are true, we’ll soon find out how many of these predictions were right. Check out our list of the best smartphones right now to see what the Oppo Find N2 will be up against until then.
