Ehsaas Program and BISP Online Registration at home have been started. It is good news for everyone who is still ineligible for the Ehsaas Program. If you haven’t registered yet or completed the survey for the 8171 program despite receiving messages reminding you to do so, now is the time to act.
BISP Payment Online Registration
If you don’t register soon, you might face the hassle of visiting the office. But don’t worry; now you can get registered right from home. The Benazir Income Support Program has been updated, and the Government of Pakistan allows you to register without leaving your house.
This service is especially helpful for women and others who can’t go to the office for various reasons, such as busy schedules or newly issued ID cards. In the past, some people faced difficulties, like being asked for bribes or experiencing delays in the survey process.
During the holy month of Ramadan, the government understands the challenges you may face, so they’ve taken this big step to make registration easier for everyone. You won’t need to register or update your information at the office. So, take advantage of this opportunity and get registered from the comfort of your home.
BISP Online Registration at Home
The Government of Pakistan, through the Benazir Income Support Program, had previously introduced a scheme where vans would visit different areas to register people directly there. Now, even more vans have been prepared to extend this service. Initially, this initiative was only available in Balochistan, but now it has also been expanded to Punjab.
The registration process has already commenced under the Income Support Program. It will start in Lahore, then move to Faisalabad, followed by Bahawalpur, and finally to Rahim Yar Khan. You won’t need to visit any offices to register.
This process has already begun, and vans will be dispatched nationwide. Teams from the Benazir Income Support Program will handle the registrations. Only those with valid ID cards will be registered. After registration, your eligibility will be checked, and upon passing, you’ll be entitled to receive the Rs. 10,500 instalments through the BISP payment scheme.
How to Check BISP Registration by CNIC
Unfortunately, there isn’t a direct way to check your BISP registration status online using your CNIC. However, there are two methods to see if you might be registered:
- 8171 Web Portal: The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) uses the code 8171 for various purposes. You can visit the 8171 Web Portal (https://www.8171updates.pk/) and enter your CNIC number and the provided code. This will inform you if your family is potentially eligible for BISP.
- SMS to 8171: Alternatively, you can send an SMS with only your CNIC number to 8171. Shortly after, you’ll receive a reply message indicating your family’s eligibility status for the program.
Important Points:
- Even if the checks above suggest eligibility, they don’t confirm your registration.
- These methods only provide preliminary information.
- You may need to visit an Ehsaas centre to confirm registration or complete the process. You can find contact information for these centres on the BISP website (https://www.bisp.gov.pk/).
